Fantasy Springs Resort Casino Hosts USA Bikini Bowling Team & Fantasy Bowl

Thirty beautiful models from all over the world converged on the Palm Springs, California area on February 2-4, 2007 at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and Fantasy Lanes in Indio for the 2007 Fantasy Bowl and Super Bowl Party. "We had some of the top feature models in the world playing in this tournament," says Linda Powers, Vice President of Marketing at Fantasy Springs, "and these models knew how to roll a strike."

It was a media frenzy as the models arrived at Fantasy Springs. Cameras from every station in Coachella Valley were on hand as the models took warm-ups. Wrenna Monet, Martha Gonzales, and Lisa Lefbre were big hits on CBS2's "Morning News" as they bantered back and forth with CBS News Anchor Dan Ball, who challenged them to a game of bowling later that night at Fantasy Lanes. Ball was able to squeak by with a slight margin. The models also appeared on KMIR, the ABC affiliate and Univision.

The Models (below) were paired up with over 60 top Bowlers from Coachella Valley for a winner take all $5,000 prize. The Bowling Tournament was won by Summer Alexis (at right). Alexis was awarded an additional $1,000 for winning the model title. Runner Ups were Brittany Daniels winning $500 & Brianna Connolly wining $250.

Tom Law, Director of Player Development brought in a great group of VIP Bowlers from all over Southern California, and Lance Allen, Fantasy Lanes General Manager ran a tight and smooth Bowling Tournament. "I have never had so much fun in my whole life," said Alexis.

Jamie Smithers won the Super Bowl Bikini Contest. She was awarded $1,500. Martha Gonzales placed second and was awarded $1,000. Jamie and Martha are pictured at left. Adena Cooke placed third with Summer Alexis and Nicole Law placing fourth and fifth. After the big game, the winners were announced and singing sensation Tawny Heath performed one of her current hits.

While at Fantasy Springs, the models shot segments for NBC's "Whacked Out Sports". The bowling models will be featured in upcoming segments. The new show airs on NBC on Sunday nights.

The event kicked off on Friday night February 2nd in the Velvet Palm Nightclub with a Welcoming Party. The Bowlers were greeted by the models. Located on the 12th floor, the Velvet Palm features live dance bands, hot DJs, plush seating, sensual lighting and an outdoor patio with fabulous views.
