Jack
Daniel's Bar & Grill Unveiled At New L 'Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino
Jack
Daniel's Bar & Grill, using the famed Tennessee sippin' whiskey as inspiration,
opened at the new L 'Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino, and we were there for
the Grand Opening celebration.
We were treated to a live concert by Colin Raye after we sampled the entire menu including local and regional favorites such as Louisiana seafood, Cajun sausage, jambalaya, catfish, gumbo and gator bites. The 21oz bone-in rib eye steak is to die for, and the pecan pie laced with JD was a real treat. It was our favorite dining experience of the weekend.

All
the VIPs and dignitaries of the Grand Opening eventually made their way into
the eatery. They were greeted by Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller Jimmy
Bedford who signed bottles of Old No. 7 for everyone in the joint.
With a backdrop of Jack Daniel's legend and lore, this new gathering place for food and entertainment will be among the unique culinary experiences at the $365 million premier resort.
The 165-seat restaurant and bar project is an agreement between L 'Auberge and the makers of Jack Daniel's. The spirited eatery will encompass 5,688 square feet including a 26-seat curved bar, dining room showcasing a fire pit, performance stage featuring local and regional bands, relaxing spot with a pool table and shuffle board and a retail store for special Jack Daniel's branded merchandise.

"This
is one of the few places outside of our hometown of Lynchburg to showcase the
Jack Daniel's brand in such an all-encompassing manner," said David Stang,
national sponsorship director for Jack Daniel's. "We are thrilled to be
partnering with L'Auberge on this unique dining and entertainment forum."
"The legacy of Mr. Jack Daniel and his famous creation inspired the ambience and menu," states Chad Glover, director of food & beverage at L 'Auberge. "This venue celebrates a distinctive part of our American history and the diversity of our cuisine."
Tantalizing menu choices include BBQ selections and "off-the-grill" entrees of steaks, chicken and pork; many of which feature Jack Daniel's own BarBQ Sauce or glaze. Several special desserts, the bread pudding, a praline cheesecake and the pecan pie, are all infused with the famous whiskey. At left is our crew for the first night's festivities: Jason Little, bartender; Bryan Sullivan, JD Room Supervisor; Nikki Young, bartendar, and Alicia Ditts, server.
In
addition to the Jack Daniel's specialties, the menu will showcase other cooking
styles with deep roots in our country, The bar will highlight a collection of
Jack Daniel's spirits including the Old No.7 whiskey in a host of specialty
recipes. In addition, the bar menu will also include more than 50 beers from
around the world along with nationally and internationally known wines.
The
interior design will exhibit whiskey-making items including age-old American
white oak barrels along with other unique country decor in the style of the
great roadhouses of America.
"It was known that Mr. Jack was a legendary host in his day," concludes Glover. "He was said to have stated often that what's necessary for a great party are good food and drink, and good friends. At our new Jack Daniel's Bar & Grill, we hope to provide the good food and drink and the perfect setting to enjoy it all with friends."
Jack Daniel's Bar & Grill will
open at 5 p.m. nightly for dinner and feature live entertainment on the performance
stage each Wednesday through Sunday after 10 p.m.
