Playboy Golf Weekend In Southern California Desert

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino Serves Up 2nd Annual Playboy Golf Scramble Tournament at Eagle Falls Golf Course

Four Playmates and thirty-six beautiful models from all over the western United States converged on the Palm Springs, California area at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and Eagle Falls Golf Course in Indio for the 2nd Annual Playboy Golf Scramble Weekend. Eagle Falls Golf Course is one of Palm Springs' finest golf courses and open to the public year round. It features spectacular desert vistas, natural water presentations, and unique Scottish pot­bunkers.

This year, more than 150 celebrity and amateur golfers competed on the par 72 Eagle Falls Golf Course and enjoyed the company of Playboy's gorgeous Playmates and the Girls of Playboy Golf. In the Playboy Golf Scramble, participants were arranged in four-person teams that competed against each other in a scramble format. Celebrities, Playboy Playmates and the Girls of Playboy Golf were in attendance for the fun.

Following the round of play, participants served as judges as the 40 Girls of Playboy Golf competed for an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles to assist the Playmates in hosting the National Playboy Golf Finals and at the Playboy Mansion. The six winning models were Jazim Siquenza of Chico, CA; Vanessa Buenrostro of Whitter, CA; Angela Rodriquez of Oceanside, CA; Sara Tennant of Suprise, AZ, Alicia Lucick of Los Angeles, CA; and Tiana Dominguez of Indio, CA.

That evening, after the golf tournament, Jay Chesteron, Director of Food and Beverage, created the atmosphere of a big Playboy Gala in the Event Center Ballroom, and Chef Freddy Reiger served over three hundred guests at the Awards Ceremony. Reiger, former head chef of Trump Casinos in Atlantic City, treated the guests to incredible cuisine featuring grilled lobster, scallops, shrimp, lamb, and beef.

After the banquet, all participants were invited to the casino floor for a special double treat. Not only did they get to mingle with Playboy Playmates Brooke Richards, December 1999, and Stephanie Glasson, July 2004, Natalie and Jennifer Campbell made their very first public appearance as the newest Playmates for December 2008. The twins signed current copies of Playboy featuring their centerfold. The casino was packed.

"It was non-stop action with Playmates, beautiful models and golfers all weekend long," said Bob Smith, Director of Marketing at Fantasy Springs. "We had Players come in from all over the country. It was a great way to introduce the public to our multi-faceted, first class resort, and championship golf course. Plus, the weather was perfect."

Ajay Pathak, President of Playboy Golf, (at right with Director of Player Development, Bob Smith) hosted the Awards Presentation and announced the new Playboy Girls of Golf who will participate in the Playboy Golf National Tournament and attend four parties at the Playboy Mansion. "This is the prettiest and nicest group of girls I have ever seen in one place," he said before he brought the girls up. Pathak and John Pulitano conduct Playboy Golf events all over the United States. "We loved the models and we love the course," said Pulitano, "We look forward to coming back next year." Director of Public Relations Frank Torok and Beth Joseph of Masterpiece Advertising Design created a media frenzy all weekend as the models moved all around Fantasy Springs.
