Quesada - La Tica Mas Grandiosa! Costa Rica Model Qualifies for Latina Finals
at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in September '09.
Costa
Rica is known for its beautiful coast lines, its tropical forests, its balance
with nature, and its “ticos”, the wonderful and friendly people.
It is also know for its incredibly beautiful women. It is for that reason that
PlayerXT staged a beauty pageant to crown the most beautiful Latina in Costa
Rica at the Fiesta
Casino in San Jose.
Beautiful Tica model Angie Quesada walked away with the title of the Most Beautiful
Latina in Costa Rica. Miss Quesada will travel to Las Vegas on September 24
- 28 to compete in the Search
for the Most Beautiful Latina Models in the World at the Hard
Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Angie
Quesada is a very popular model in Costa Rica. Google the name to see pages
of this popular model, dancer, singer, and actress on the internet. She is one
of the feature models in the prestigious Latin American calendar Piel Dorada,
and will be featured in the top men's online lifestyle site, Bullz-Eye.com.
Bullz-Eye publisher, Gerardo Orlando, made the trip personally to help judge
and select the models he would feature over the next year. Bullz-Eye ranks as
the number two online men's lifestyle magazine with over 5
million visitors per month. At right is an article of Angie in the newspaper
alDia after her big win. Check out pictures of the Costa Rican beauty
taken by Paul Miller below.
The Costa Rica event
was staged by PlayerXT in conjunction with Telemundo, and is part of an international
search to find the most beautiful model in the Latin world. The Costa Rica pageant
was hosted by the Fiesta
Casino and Thunderbird Resorts,
and kicked off a comprehensive quest to find 30 Hispanic models in the Latin
world to bring to Las Vegas for the Greatest Latina Search Ever.
The entire summer search series, conducted in Latin counties around the world
and the United States, will be covered by Telemundo's Ritmo Deportivo and sponsored
by Telemundo, Thunderbird Resorts, Fiesta Casinos, Piel Dorada, Maxim Espanol,
Bullz-Eye, Blue Ray Technologies, Red Bull Energy Drink, Budwieser, Patron,
and many more.
The
Costa Rica pageant was hosted by Telemundo's Rene Braga and Playmate Shallan
Meiers. They were assisted by Racey Girls Maya
Rochelle, Myste Nicole and Lindsey
Eller. The event and models were featured in all four major Costa Rican
newspapers. They were signing autographs wherever they went.
The
event was staged at the Fiesta Casino, which is the premier night spot in San
Jose. The first multi-entertainment gaming center in the Costa Rican market,
this casino includes slot machines, table games, an exclusive card room, and
a themed bar and restaurant with a state of the art entertainment facility with
nightly live entertainment including professional dancers. Director of Entertainment,
Alex Rubenstein keeps the place hopping with some of the best talent in Central
America. This facility has a bar with a “pirate ship” theme, the
waiters in costume, and a casino area with a “Mayan temple” theme.
The food was magnifico; American beers have nothing on Imperial and Pilsen.
Director of Operations for Thunderbird Resorts in San Jose is Marco Chavarria,
who made us feel right at home, and apprised us of their new development, Tres
Rios in San Jose. Thunderbird Tres Rios will be anchored by a luxury resort
hotel, a Las Vegas style casino, a world-class convention center, a world-class
spa and health club, commercial real estate, and a private residential community.
While
in San Jose, the models helped host the 4th Annual Fiesta Cup Golf Tournament
with Nick Costas, Director of VIP Services for Thunderbird Resorts and the Fiesta
Casino. Each year, Costas stages this prestigious golf event to raise money
for charity. This year's tournament was held at the Valle
Del Sol Golf Course and Cariari County
Club, two of San Jose's premium golf clubs. Costas had a full field of 108
golfers and this year’s charity was the Marginal Schools of Alejuela,
which received a check for $4,150. Last year they bought an Ambulance for the
Red Cross. In previous years, they have donated to the Association for Drug
and Alcohol Rehabilitation, the Association for the Disabled, and the School
System of Santa Ana. In the past four years, the tournament has raised over
$60,000.
Following
the weekend of festivities, the winners traveled to the exclusive Las
Suenos Resort to be shot by the award winning photographers from the United
States and Costa Rica representing Playboy, Maxim, and Bullz-Eye: Paul Miller,
Bo Hitchcock, Edwin Jammer, Mariano Matamoros,
Marcelo Pimentel, and Gary Ashton. We were delivered to the coastal community
by our long-time friend Harold Guerro, who took care of our ride and security.
Our host in the Los Suenos area was Mike
Hardy. Hardy is a great sucess story, and has been selling and managing
property for over 10 years in this prestigious destination resort area. He is
the perfect investment guide in Costa Rica. We stayed at Hardy's Casa
Tropical. There is no way to describe it. You have to look for yourself.
Hardy also arranged for us to stay and photograph at Marabella.
The Marabella condominiums are the premier properties in Los Suenos, selling
for over $3M/unit, and are correspondingly well appointed. Located on a scenic
hillside overlooking the marina, these luxury accomodations feature 6 infinity
pools, multiple Jacuzzis and, in our case, an ocean view overlooking the marina
with its incredible sunrise. Check out some of the photos below.
The Racey Girls, Maya, Myste, and Lindsey enjoyed the Pura Vida of Costa Rica
to the fullest. Besides photoshoots on the beach and poolside, eating some of
Central America's finest cuisine, touring the coastal town of Jaco, they zip-lined
through the canopy, watched toucans and monkeys at play, and took a yoga class
in the middle of the deep jungle at Amatierra
Retreat & Wellness Center. Owner Jill Ruttenberg guided them through
a rigorous yoga class, and harmonic healing.
The summer search series will travel to Guadalajara, Mexico in June. In July, the search team will visit the South American countries of Columbia, Brazil, and Argentina. August will find them in Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, and Matzalan. The search will end up in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico before heading to Las Vegas for the Grand Finals. PlayerXT has aligned with Costra Rican television producer, Hector Alfaro Dobles of CAWAMA Tropical Films, to assist in the search through Central America. Dobles has been producing the premier beauty pageant in Latin America for the past 10 years entitled Piel Dorada. Models fly in from all over Latin America to be part of his event.
These Latin countries have many beautiful Latinas with no opportunity to show who they are," said Curt Holstein of PlayerXT. "Each city we visit, we will meet and discover lovely ladies from all over the Latin world."
"Our inspiration came from an event we did last summer in Palm Springs," said Roy Hahn, president of PlayerXT. "Last year's finals were held at the 4-Star Resort Casino, Fantasy Springs, in the California desert near Palm Springs, CA. There were over 50 models representing 20 Latin countries during the entire month of August for a five-week pageant." At Fantasy Springs, twelve finalists from across el mundo latino - "the Latin world" competed for the crown. The entire event was covered by Telemundo's Ritmo Deportivo which aired four segments internationally. Check out the Final Weekend on Telemundo. The pageant boasted beautiful women, dancing, and native costumes. The event also offered a glimpse of the unique and diverse heritage of Latin people.
